Le Nombre d'Or - Sablè Rosé 2020
The Champagne Le Nombre d’Or Rosé Sablé 2020 by Aubry is a cuvée of remarkable originality, embodying the philosophy of the Maison in Jouy-lès-Reims, a pioneer in reviving the cépages oubliés of Champagne. The blend brings together the historic grape varieties Arbanne (25%), Petit Meslier (25%), and Pinot Blanc (10%), alongside the more classic Chardonnay (38%) and Pinot Noir (2%), composing a unique aromatic and stylistic mosaic. The grapes of the 2020 harvest come from vineyards located in Premier Cru villages: Villedommange, Pargny-lès-Reims, Jouy-lès-Reims, and Coulommes-la-Montagne.
Vinification follows the “rosé sablé” method, involving a gentle maceration of Pinot Noir grapes that imparts a brilliant rosé hue and a subtle tannic texture. After tirage, the wine matures for over 36 months on the lees, developing depth and complexity. The absence of dosage (Brut Nature) preserves tension and expressive purity.
On the palate, Nombre d’Or Rosé Sablé 2020 shows a fine and persistent mousse. The nose reveals aromas of red berries, citrus peel, delicate spicy notes, and floral touches. The palate delivers energy and verticality, with incisive freshness, mineral undertones, and a long, vibrant finish, further distinguished by its subtle tannic presence. A rare cuvée, uniting historical memory, artisanal precision, and contemporary elegance.
