Les Potées 2019

The Champagne Les Potées 2019 originates from the eponymous parcel located in the Grand Cru Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, an old vineyard positioned in the upper part of the Lieu-Dit, with east-facing exposure. The soil, composed of active chalkand clay, imparts vibrant tension and sharp minerality to the wine. The plot is farmed according to biodynamic principles and managed with deliberately low yields to fully express the identity of the site. This cuvée, signed by Adrien Dhondt, perfectly reflects his artisanal vision and deep respect for the terroir.

The 2019 harvest was vinified through spontaneous fermentation in barrique, followed by around 8 months of aging on the lees, without fining or filtration. Malolactic fermentation was carried out, softening the acidity and adding roundness to the palate. After bottling, the wine was aged on the lees for about 36 months before disgorgement, with a final dosage of 1.5 g/l (Extra Brut), allowing the raw material to fully shine.

On the palate, Les Potées 2019 unveils a chiseled and radiant profile: the nose reveals citrus notes, white flowers and subtle iodine hints. The mouthfeel is broad and energetic, with sharp minerality and persistent freshness. A Blanc de Blancs Champagne of rare purity and energy, produced in extremely limited quantities: 1,433 bottles, 20 magnums, and just 5 jeroboams, crafted for the most discerning and refined palates.
