Les Freres Mignon

The Champagne Les Frères Mignon project was established in 2019 by Florent and Julien Mignon, brothers who grew up among the vineyards of the Côte des Blancs and come from a family with a long-standing winemaking tradition. Their great-grandfather already vinified his own grapes before the family shifted exclusively to selling fruit. After decades of interruption, the two brothers chose to revive this legacy, rediscovering their family’s expertise and reinterpreting it with a contemporary approach.

In 2015, at just 28 and 24 years old, Florent and Julien decided to take the lead by founding their own estate. With the support of their family, particularly their father, they built a new winery in Avize in less than a year, ready for the 2016 harvest. The official debut came in 2019 with the first cuvées bearing the Les Frères Mignon name, expressing a style that combines technical precision with a strong sense of terroir.

The estate vineyards, passed down through generations and largely planted through massal selection, are composed of around 90% Chardonnay in the Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages of Avize, Cramant and Cuis, while the remaining 10% Pinot Noir is located in Cumières. Vineyard management follows sustainable viticulture principles, while in the cellar a low-intervention approach is adopted, with spontaneous fermentations, indigenous yeasts, and no fining or filtration, aiming to enhance purity and the true expression of each terroir.
