Chromatique Magnum
The Champagne Chromatique by Stéphane Regnault is a Blanc de Blancs crafted from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from several parcels rooted in the chalky soils surrounding the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of the most prestigious Grand Crus of the Côte des Blancs. Here, Chardonnay expresses itself with remarkable purity and verticality, combining tension and refinement in an emblematic way.
This Magnum edition, based on the 2020 vintage and enriched with 25% vin de réserve, is vinified partly in stainless steel and partly in used oak barrels, following an approach that emphasizes freshness and balance. After the tirage, the wine ages for at least 48 months on the lees, developing aromatic complexity and precision. The Extra Brut dosage (2 g/l) enhances both its mineral character and the elegance of its style.
On the palate, Chromatique reveals a fine mousse, notes of fresh citrus, white flowers, and the distinctive chalky nuances typical of the Grand Cru. The mouthfeel is defined by salinity, balance, and a long, persistent finish, confirming its incisive and harmonious nature. With a production limited to only 200 Magnums, it stands as a true benchmark among contemporary Blanc de Blancs.
