The story of Champagne Roland Champion begins in Chouilly, a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs where the Champion family has been present for over three centuries. It all started in 1929 with André Champion and his "Champagne André Champion", but his untimely death placed the reins in the hands of his eldest son Roland, only sixteen years old, who courageously expanded the estate and in 1951 renamed the Domaine after himself. Today it is François, the third generation and oenologist, who leads the company, supported by his daughters Carole and Clémence, the fourth generation of a family for whom the bond with the land remains sacred and unbreakable.

A member of the prestigious Club Trésors de Champagne, the Domaine cultivates around 18 hectares spread across some forty parcels between Chouilly, in the Côte des Blancs, and the lands of Verneuil and Vandière in the Vallée de la Marne. Chardonnay clearly dominates the vineyards, accompanied by Meunier and Pinot Noir, on chalky soils that bring finesse, minerality and luminous elegance. Independent growers who oversee every stage of production, from the vine to the ageing cellars, the Champion family crafts authentic, terroir-driven Champagnes, able to capture within the chalky silence of Chouilly the soul of a family that has been telling the story of its land for four generations.
