The Champagne Bochot is the first Blanc de Noirs made by Domaine Pierre Gerbais from 100% Meunier grapes. This rare and powerful Cuvée carves out a niche for itself in the Côte des Bar, dominated by Pinot Noir, demonstrating once again the authenticity and innovation of the Domaine. Of the three traditional Champagne grape varieties, Côte des Bar strongly favours the cultivation of Pinot Noir, followed by Chardonnay. In the village of Celles-sur-Ource - where the Domaine Pierre Gerbais is based - this trend is respected, with Meunier only accounting for 2% of the total production, making this extraordinary Blanc de Meunier an irresistible singularity. Planted by mass selection in the lieu-dit Bochot, the Meunier grapes are organically managed and vinified in stainless steel tanks, followed by blending with vin de Reserve Perpetuelle from 2016 to 2020 and ageing for 36 months on its yeasts before reaching the final dosage of 3 g/l - making it an Extra Brut.

The Champagne Bochot by Pierre Gerbais has an intense gold colour to the eye, a delicate nose of quince, cooked peaches, honey and blueberry tart, followed by seductive aromas of French pastry. To the palate it is rich and smooth, yet powerful and refreshing with a lingering finish. Limited production of only 3,132 bottles.
