The Champagne Absimilis by Thibaud Brocard – Domaine Pierre Brocard – originates from the La Lemblée parcel, characterized by deep brown clay soils that promote concentration and expressive intensity. This cuvée made from 100% Pinot Blanc, one of the rare Cépages Oubliés of Champagne, interprets the Côte des Bar with an unconventional style, highlighting substance, maturity, and freedom of expression.

This edition, Millésime 2019, involves pressing with a traditional 4000 kg vertical Coquard press; the distinctive feature of the process is a 7-day skin maceration in concrete tanks, with 50% destemmed grapes and 50% whole bunches, a choice that brings greater structure and aromatic depth. After bottling, the wine undergoes lees aging for 5 years, a period that harmonizes the extractive component while preserving balance and drive. The absence of final dosage, in Brut Nature style, transparently underscores the authenticity of the grape variety and the strong identity of the parcel.

On the nose, Absimilis 2019 surprises with an unusual aromatic profile, featuring notes of mango, pineapple, and papaya, accompanied by mature and lightly spicy nuances. On the palate, it shows breadth and structure, with an enveloping texture supported by lively freshness that balances its opulence. The progression is intense and persistent, leaving an impression of maturity and depth that makes this cuvée a distinctive experience within the Champagne landscape.
