The Champagne Millésime by Prophète Yann comes from Landreville, in the Barséquanais, where a vineyard with a distinctive semicircular shape is framed by wooded hills like an ancient theatre. The philosophy embraces organic farming and an artisanal approach pushed to the extreme, in which only the best 2,000 kilos out of the 40,000 produced each year are destined for the elaboration of this rare Champagne. A Blanc de Blancs cuvée conceived as a faithful testimony of the terroir and of an oenological vision that intertwines tradition and meticulous slowness, carving out an unmistakable identity.

This edition, Vintage 2012, is born from Chardonnay grapes harvested from old vines planted in 1975. Vinification and fermentation take place in fût de chêne with pressing entrusted to century-old manual machines still in operation today in the 19th-century cellar. After tirage, the wine rests on the lees for an extended 118 months and dégorgement is carried out with no dosage, in Brut Nature style, to enhance the expressive purity of the grape variety.

On tasting, the wine reveals a golden hue crossed by a perlage of extreme finesse, which introduces a vibrant palate defined by ripe citrus, candied grapefruit peel and hints of exotic fruit. The structure is ample and enveloping, sustained by a taut acidity that dialogues with an impressive salinity, delivering depth and tension without weighing down. The finish is long, savoury and of rare clarity, with a persistence that reflects the authentic character of a generous harvest and a prolonged ageing. Production in a limited run of 1394 bottles and 50 magnums.
