Bulles Roses 2020
The Champagne Bulles Roses by Pierre Baillette is a captivating Rosé de Saignée, crafted entirely from Pinot Noirharvested in the lieu-dit Les Bas Moutions, located near the village of Rilly-la-Montagne in the central Montagne de Reims, where the chalky soils enhance its freshness and mineral tension.
The 2020 harvest was vinified using the technique of short maceration, with 9 hours of skin contact that imparted the wine’s distinctive color and pronounced aromatic intensity. Fermentation and maturation took place in 350-liter oak barrels, followed by 24 months of lees ageing. At dégorgement, a final dosage below 3 g/l in Extra Brut style preserved the purity of the fruit and the identity of the terroir.
On the palate, Bulles Roses displays a fine, persistent perlage, with vibrant aromas of fresh red fruits, pomegranate, and delicate spicy notes. The taste is vibrant and refined, with mineral freshness, complexity, and balance leading to a long-lasting finish.
