The Champagne L’Indépendante by Odile Thieullet comes from selected parcels cultivated around Cuisles, in the Rive Droite of the Vallée de la Marne, an area historically linked to Meunier. In this territory, defined by green clay soils over calcareous marls, the grape variety develops an intense and distinctive personality, capable of combining depth, mineral tension, and vibrant energy on the palate. This Blanc de Noirs interpretation reflects an essential and artisanal vision of Champagne, created to highlight the most authentic and territorial expression of Meunier.

This edition, from the 2022 harvest, takes shape from a growing season marked by complete ripeness and a particularly successful balance between aromatic richness and natural freshness, while vinification and maturation in fût de chêne guide the wine toward greater depth without compromising its expressive precision, with extended lees work contributing additional structure and complexity. After tirage, the wine undergoes at least 30 months of ageing on the lees and, without final dosage, it is presented in a Brut Nature style, expressing a rigorous, energetic, and terroir-driven interpretation of Meunier.

In tasting, L’Indépendante reveals a broad and vertical profile, with notes of ripe yellow fruit, citrus peel, delicate spices, and subtle chalky nuances. On the palate, it stands out for its texture, precision, and persistence, supported by a mineral backbone that leads into a long and saline finish. The balance between depth and freshness enhances an authentic and assertive personality, dedicated to enthusiasts seeking Champagnes with strong territorial identity and character. Production in a limited run of 2,467 bottles.
