Champagne Erick Schreiber
Blanc de Gris
The Champagne Blanc de Gris by Erick Schreiber is the result of the blending of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris from proprietary vineyards grown in Courteron, Bar-sur-Seine, in the Côte des Bar.Obtained from grapes of a single vintage, it vinifies for about 40% in barrique and is without added sulphites; the dosage remains within the limits of the Brut. The creation of Champagne Blanc de Gris is casual and comes from the will to reinterpret the cépages oubliés – the forgotten grape varieties of Champagne (including Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris). These grapes, in fact, during a rather poor harvest in term of quantity, were blended and their combination was a source of great surprise, so much so that was chosen to vinify them together. Thus was born Champagne Blanc de Gris: finesse and elegance, power and complexity. Domaine Erick Schreiber respects the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, all of its Champagnes are in fact certified for organic and biodynamic viticulture.Fine and harmonious Champagne, of power and substance, of great verticality.
