The Coteaux Champenois Blanc by Domaine Les Monts Fournois is a still wine that precisely expresses Chardonnay grown in the Premier Cru village of Ludes, in the Montagne de Reims, from a vineyard planted in 1961 with southern exposure on chalky soils. An interpretation focused on the reading of terroir and vintage, through an essential and rigorous style that enhances purity, tension and clarity of expression.
This edition, vintage 2023, benefits from a warm and balanced growing season, allowing optimal ripeness while preserving freshness. Vinification and maturation take place in wood, contributing to structure and aromatic complexity without masking the varietal identity. The absence of effervescence allows for a direct and transparent reading of both vineyard and vintage.
On tasting, this Coteaux Champenois Blanc 2023 shows a precise and luminous profile, with notes of citrus, white-fleshed fruit and delicate floral nuances, accompanied by mineral and lightly toasted hints. On the palate it is tense and structured, supported by marked freshness and a chalky texture. The finish is long, clean and saline, balancing elegance and definition. Limited production of only 2,650 bottles.
