Histoire de Famille Magnum

The Champagne Histoire de Famille by Denis Salomon is born from a careful selection of Meunier grown in the estate-owned vineyards located between Vandières and Verneuil, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. It is a Blanc de Meunier cuvée that expresses the family identity of the Vigneron and his deep connection to these historic parcels, interpreting the territory with a direct, essential, and coherent style.

This edition, with 2023 as the base vintage, is complemented by 25% vins de réserve from 2005 to 2022, crafted according to the Solera method. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, with light filtration and no malolactic fermentation in order to preserve freshness and tension. After tirage, the wine ages for 24 months on the lees; a final dosage of 5 g/l defines its Extra Brut profile with precision and balance.

On the palate, Histoire de Famille stands out for notes of crisp white fruit, fresh citrus, and delicate floral nuances. It shows dynamic drive and a slender, well-calibrated structure, supported by a vibrant acidity that sustains the progression. The finish is clean, consistent, and pleasantly persistent, with an overall balance that highlights energy and expressive transparency.

Located in the heart of Vallée de la Marne in Vandières with its 4.8 hectares divided into 22 parcels, among which the most important is Chenovières, where the oldest vines on the property are planted since 60 years old, and where Meunier is cultivated; Domaine Denis Salomon respects the traditions combining modernity with traditional methods. The property's brand was created in 1974 by Denis Salomon, and currently, his son Nicolas, who belongs to the fifth generation of the family, has returned after an experience in Bordeaux to take over the management since 2004.

Vandières village is situated on sunny slopes overlooking the Vallée de la Marne and the vineyards enjoy a privileged southern exposure. The estate benefits from a terroir composed essentially of marl and the vines cultivated are divided by variety into Meunier (70%); Chardonnay (13%); Pinot Noir (16%); and a small part divided into Arbane, Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris.
