The Champagne Rosé by Chartogne-Taillet stands out for its rare precision and a careful oenological approach aimed at preserving the identity of both terroir and grape variety. The blend brings together Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a calibrated addition of vin rouge sourced from parcels selected for the quality of their grapes: in particular, the Lieu-Dit Orizeaux and, since 2017, the Lieu-Dit Fontaines in Saint-Thierry.

Almost always the result of a single vintage, this Rosé requires a more complex process compared to the domaine’s single-parcel wines. Vinification takes place in 228- and 350-liter fûts, with spontaneous fermentations, no added yeasts, and no filtration, in order to preserve the wine’s textural integrity and the balance between richness and salinity. The final dosage, between 5 and 6 g/l, accompanies the maturation process with discretion, aiding the integration of the bubbles and the wine’s evolution over time.

On tasting, Chartogne-Taillet’s Rosé reveals a pale hue with pink and orange reflections. On the palate, it unfolds in two stages: an initial soft and velvety sensation, followed by a sharper, more defined progression that prolongs the finish and highlights its mineral tension. A Rosé Champagne of great finesse, energy, and expressive clarity.
