Charles-Henri Dupont is a young vigneron carrying forward a long-standing family winemaking tradition dating back to the 17th century. His estate is based in Vertus, a Premier Cru village in the Côte des Blancs, one of Champagne’s most renowned areas for Chardonnay, where chalky soils and predominantly east-facing exposures foster wines of tension, brightness, and remarkable mineral precision. In this setting, an authentic interpretation of terroir takes shape, rooted in artisanal practices and a strong sense of place.

Born in Reims in 1985, he began his own journey with the 2008 harvest after gaining experience in the Loire, Mosel, and Champagne regions. His approach has progressively moved toward organic farming, with the abandonment of herbicides in 2012, the start of conversion in 2016, and certification achieved in 2020. The Domaine’s vineyards, averaging around 45 years of age and planted through massal selection, are managed according to agroecological principles, including the use of compost and cover crops. In the cellar, vinification takes place between stainless steel and wood, following a minimal-intervention philosophy with low sulfur use, aimed at preserving integrity and expressive purity.

His Champagnes consistently reflect the classic profile of Vertus, standing out for their finesse, precision, and clear territorial imprint.
