The Champagne Blanc de Blancs by Charles Heidsieck embodies the luminous and refined vision of the Maison, among the first in Champagne to devote itself entirely to Chardonnay as early as 1949. Relaunched in 2018, this cuvée represents the synthesis of the house’s dual vocation: mastery in crafting great white wines and the art of blending terroirs and vintages. It is a Champagne of vibrant elegance, combining energy and depth, freshness and generosity, in a perfect expression of the Charles Heidsieck identity.

The blend is composed exclusively of Chardonnay from ten carefully selected crus of the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and the Aube. Around 25% reserve wines, with an average age of five years, bring roundness and aromatic complexity, while a prolonged ageing of three to four years in the Maison’s ancient chalk crayères imparts creaminess and finesse. The result is a harmonious cuvée, where the mineral tension and freshness of Chardonnay merge with a silky, enveloping texture, balancing precision and softness.

In tasting, this Blanc de Blancs reveals a pale golden hue with luminous reflections and a fine, persistent mousse. The bouquet is elegant and complex, offering notes of white peach, candied citrus and lime, interwoven with hints of honeysuckle, fresh hazelnut, and delicate touches of mandarin. On the palate, it is pure and expansive, animated by vibrant freshness and a creamy texture that prolongs its harmony. The finish, long and refined, unfolds with subtle citrus and mineral nuances, fully expressing the finesse and depth of this cuvée.
