Blanc de Blancs Magnum
The Champagne Terroir by Bonnaire is a Blanc de Blancs born entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the prestigious Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry, in the celebrated CĂ´te des Blancs. This label celebrates the meeting of three terroirs of excellence, where the chalky, limestone subsoil bestows finesse, mineral tension and an expressive purity that authentically tells the extraordinary vocation of this corner of Champagne.
This edition, 2019 and 2018 harvests, brings together the grapes of the three crus in a blend that merges the luminous freshness of the former with the mature softness of the latter. Vinification and fermentation take place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with full malolactic fermentation, while after tirage comes an ageing on the lees of 36 months. The final dosage of 4 g/l, in Extra Brut style, seals a profile of great precision and balance.
On tasting, Terroir reveals a pale gold robe streaked with luminous reflections, foreshadowing an aromatic range in which citrus and white fruit intertwine with delicate mineral and chalky nuances. On the palate it expresses a creamy, enveloping substance, supported by a vibrant acidity and a salinity that shapes its character, leading to a long, fresh finish of rare coherence, marked by the chalky texture of its terroir.
