The Côteaux Champenois Blanc 2022 by Pierre Gerbais is a still white wine that stands out for its quality and refinement. Made entirely from Pinot Blanc, a rare grape variety in the Champagne region, this wine comes from the vineyards of Celles-sur-Ource, in the Côte des Bar, where the Gerbais family cultivates over 4 hectares of Pinot Blanc, with vines over 100 years old, giving the wine a unique depth and complexity.
The Côteaux Champenois Blanc 2022 is of a bright lemon yellow colour, intense and sparkling. On the nose it opens with a bouquet of floral notes, enriched by aromas of ripe apricot, juicy pear and a touch of citrus, giving an aromatic and persistent profile. On the palate, it reveals a lively and vibrant structure, characterised by flavours of dried fruit, cream and a hint of jam. Nuances of raw almond and a marked minerality add depth and crispness to the sip, while the dry, savoury finish is enhanced by a light smoky accent that makes it intriguing and refreshing. With an extremely limited production of only 769 bottles, this Côteaux Champenois represents an exclusive and precious choice, ideal for fans of refined and authentic wines.
