Champagne Philipponnat
La RĂ©missonne 2015
The Champagne La Rémissonne by Philipponnat originates from a single Premier Cru parcel located in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, not far from the renowned Clos des Goisses, on soils with a higher clay content compared to the predominantly chalky composition of the area. This single-vineyard cuvée precisely interprets the identity of the site through Pinot Noir, enhancing the expressiveness of a historic vineyard cultivated on well-exposed slopes. The warm and luminous vintage allowed for full grape ripeness, offering an intense and structured expression of the terroir.
This edition, Millésime 2015, is a Blanc de Noirs made from 100% Pinot Noir. Vinification includes fermentation in oak, a distinctive practice of the House, with no malolactic fermentation in order to preserve tension and definition. Aging on the lees lasts for a minimum of seven years, encouraging aromatic layering and depth. The final dosage of just 4.5 g/l (Extra Brut) highlights balance and precision while maintaining the transparent imprint of the vineyard.
On the palate, La RĂ©missonne 2015 displays a deep golden color with coppery reflections. The bouquet evokes ripe yellow fruit, candied citrus, delicate floral nuances, and subtle spicy hints derived from oak aging. On the palate it reveals a broad and enveloping structure, supported by well-calibrated freshness and a mineral texture that leads into a persistent and harmonious finish, where concentration and tension achieve an elegant synthesis.
