The Champagne Horizon by Pascal Doquet takes shape in the Coteaux Vitryats, a less conventional area of Champagne where Chardonnay reveals a taut and luminous profile. Born from organically farmed vineyards, this Blanc de Blancs interprets a terroir rich in biodiversity, where wild plants grow among the vines and contribute to soil vitality. Horizon conveys a clear vision: to enhance energy, territorial identity, and expressive transparency through rigorous work that respects natural balance.

This edition, based on the 2022 harvest, includes 43% vin de réserve drawn from a Réserve Perpétuelle started in 2012 and topped up each year with half of the new wines, a practice that ensures stylistic continuity, depth and a complexity renewed from one harvest to the next. Vinification and fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts to preserve aromatic precision and the integrity of the fruit, while after tirage the wine ages on its lees for at least 24 months, which helps shape its structure and complexity. The final dosage of 3 g/l, in the Extra Brut style, keeps the profile dry and taut, highlighting the wine’s tension and mineral clarity.

On the nose, Horizon reveals aromas of fresh citrus, white flowers, and subtle chalky nuances, accompanied by hints of green apple and fresh almond. On the palate, it stands out for its drive and verticality, supported by a fine texture and a vibrant saline imprint. The structure is precise and linear, with an elegant mousse leading to a persistent finish, balanced between freshness and delicate creaminess.
