The Champagne Terre et Village by Matthieu-Godmé Guillaume is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, a pure expression of the Premier Cru village of Villers-Marmery, located in the northern part of the Montagne de Reims. The grapes come from three carefully selected lieux-dits – Oies, Charmois, and Sous-la-Ville – all marked by chalky soils that lend the wine vibrancy and minerality.

Vinification follows an essential and precise approach: fermentation and ageing take place in barriques for about 9 months, with no malolactic fermentation. The cuvée is neither fined nor filtered, in order to preserve the purity of the fruit. After tirage, the wine matures on the lees for over three years, before being finished with an Extra Brut dosage (1 g/l) that reflects a philosophy of restraint, aimed at highlighting the wine’s natural tension and the deep identity of the terroir.

On the palate, Terre et Village stands out for its subtle, crystalline energy: sharp aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers, and chalk blend seamlessly into a vibrant, saline, and precise mouthfeel. The absence of filtration may result in a natural deposit, a hallmark of this respectful, artisanal production.
