Vibratis 2016
The Champagne Vibratis 2016 by Laurent Bénard is the result of a refined blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 45% Meunier, and 10% Chardonnay, sourced exclusively from the Premier Cru of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The grapes, carefully selected, come from four distinctive plots: Les Clés and La Maladrille for Pinot Noir, Jeune Parc for Meunier, and Les Sept Arpents for Chardonnay. The vineyards, cultivated on light clay-limestone soils on carie, precisely define the territorial identity of the cuvée.
The 2016 harvest was vinified 85% in stainless steel and 15% in fût de chêne, with no added sulfites. This essential and respectful approach preserves the authenticity of the raw material. After tirage, the cuvée matured for over 72 months on the lees, developing a deep and layered aromatic complexity. The zero dosage (0 g/l) confirms a Brut Nature style, pure and rigorous.
On tasting, Vibratis 2016 impresses with its sharp mineral tension and a bouquet shaped by nuances of citrus, white flowers, and wet stone. The palate is vertical and precise, driven by a vibrant freshness that enhances the persistence and clearly reveals the signature of the Mareuil-sur-AĂż terroir.
