Champagne Pommery
Cuvée Louise "Edition Parcelles" 2006
The Cuvée Louise is the jewel in the crown of the Maison Pommery. The Champagne only originates in the best vintages and only from 3 important Grands Crus: Avize and Cramant for the Chardonnay (65%), and Aÿ for the Pinot Noir (35%). It matures on its own lees for at least 15 years, resulting in great complexity and balance.
The Cuvée Louise 2006 presents itself with a delicately luminous pale gold colour. Through this elegant hue and its fine effervescence, one can discern green reflections that dance with natural grace, bringing a touch of vivacity to the visual palette.
On the nose, at first mysteriously discreet, it gradually opens up to reveal a complex and captivating bouquet. The first notes evoke a floral garden bathed in freshness, where aromas of dried plants and chamomile blend harmoniously. A subtle buttery, slightly smoky and spicy touch dances in the background, adding an intriguing depth to the whole.
On the palate, the experience continues with an attack of incredible softness that touches the taste buds with rare delicacy. The minerality of the terroir is revealed with splendour, evoking freshly sweetened orange peel, bringing exquisite vivacity to the mouth. Mango and mirabelle plum notes bring an exotic fruity touch to all. The finish is creamy, enhanced by the sweetness of bergamot.
