MSNL 2014
The Champagne MSNL 2014 by Jean-Louis Vergnon is a Blanc de Blancs of extraordinary elegance and precision, an authentic and territorial expression of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. The acronym MSNL (Mon Single Nom de Lieu) refers to the parcel-based origin of the grapes, coming from the lieux-dits Les Chétillons and Les Mussettes, located in the prestigious Grand Cru of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of the most iconic villages for Chardonnay production in Champagne.
The 2014 harvest, marked by a fresh and balanced profile, made it possible to obtain a wine of great tension and notable aging potential. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, to preserve the finesse and verticality of the fruit. Aging on the lees continues for over nine years, while the final dosage, less than 1 g/l (Extra Brut), enhances the expressive purity of the terroir.
On tasting, MSNL 2014 appears with a bright light gold color, and a fine and continuous perlage. The nose opens with citrus notes, white flowers, fresh almond, and a marked chalky minerality, typical of Le Mesnil soils. On the palate, it is tense, precise, with great energy, depth, and a saline, persistent finish.
MSNL 2014 is a Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne of rare finesse and personality, designed for enthusiasts and connoisseurs seeking authenticity, longevity, and transparency of terroir.
