The Champagne Murmure by Jean-Louis Vergnon is a Blanc de Blancs of great finesse and precision, produced exclusively from Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards located in the renowned village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The name Murmure evokes the idea of a whisper, a subtle and pure expression of the terroir, manifested with elegance and discretion.

It is a single-vintage blend, with the addition of 20% vin de réserve. The winemaking takes place entirely in stainless steel, to preserve the freshness and aromatic transparency of the fruit. The wine ages on the lees for about 3 years, before being disgorged without final dosage (Brut Nature), a choice that enhances the wine’s tense, mineral, and direct character.

On tasting, Murmure presents a bright yellow hue with golden reflections and a fine, lively perlage. The nose reveals a refined bouquet, with citrus notes, green apple, white flowers, and a distinct chalky trace. On the palate, it is slender, vibrant, with a silky mousse, and a tense, saline, and highly vertical finish.
