The Champagne Eugène by Famille Moussé is a Blanc de Noirs of remarkable identity, emblematic of the artisanal philosophy of the Domaine in Cuisles, in the Vallée de la Marne. Here, among green clay soils over a chalky base and a viticulture deeply respectful of the environment, the Moussé family cultivates Meunier as the main interpreter of the territory, supported by Pinot Noir, in a continuous dialogue between tradition and innovation.
This edition is born from the blend of 80% Meunier and 20% Pinot Noir, crafted according to the Solera method, with a réserve perpétuelle encompassing vintages from 2003 to 2021. Each year, 50% of the latest harvest is added to keep alive the freshness and complexity of the aromatic heritage. After tirage, the wine ages for over 30 months on its lees, with a final dosage of only 2 g/l, in Extra Brut style, expressing with purity both the character of the terroir and the precise touch of the Famille Moussé.
On tasting, Eugène reveals aromas of ripe red fruits, quince, and candied citrus, intertwined with notes of hazelnut, bread crust, and dried flowers. On the palate, it is broad and structured, supported by a vivid mineral tension, fine effervescence, and an elegant, harmonious persistence. A deep and terroir-driven Champagne, uniting precision, elegance, and the memory of time.
