Champagne Emilien Allouchery
La Scène 2020
The Champagne La Scène 2020 by Emilien Allouchery is a Blanc de Blancs made from pure Chardonnay, sourced from old vines planted in 1972 and 1987. The grapes grow on clay-sandy and silty soils near the Premier Cru villages of Écueil and Ville-Dommange, in the heart of the Petite Montagne de Reims.
This edition, Vintage 2020, undergoes vinification and maturation for around 10 months, carried out 85% in fût de chêne and the remaining 15% in sandstone amphorae, with only a partial malolactic fermentation and without any filtration. After tirage comes an ageing of over 30 months on the lees, at the end of which it is disgorged with a final dosage of 1 g/l, in an Extra Brut style.
On tasting, La Scène 2020 surprises the palate with its depth and complexity. It offers a refined balance between intense toasted notes and fresh fruit aromas, with an elegant finish that recalls sea salt nuances. An intense, sophisticated and memorable sensory experience. Production is limited to only 2,880 bottles.
