LCT "Les Caourdets" V22
The Champagne LCT «Les Caourdets» by Oudiette comes to life in the village of Beaunay, where Chardonnay meets chalky, clay-rich soils full of marine fossils that shape its distinctly mineral soul. This Blanc de Blancs tells of an artisanal philosophy deeply respectful of the raw material, devoted to expressing a single vineyard through measured human intervention and to conveying with authenticity its dynamic energy and luminous personality.
This edition, from the 2022 harvest with 17% of vin de réserve from 2021, takes shape through a spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by eleven months of maturation in 228-litre oak barrels and made without bâtonnage or any filtration or stabilisation. After the tirage comes ageing on its own lees for a minimum of twenty-four months, while with no final dosage, in an Extra Brut style, it keeps its varietal clarity and natural tension perfectly intact.
On tasting, LCT «Les Caourdets» wins over with a taut drive and an aromatic definition that bring out the full depth of its mineral character, in a texture that is always clear, precise and finely coherent through every single stage on the palate. On the palate it reveals a sharp structure and elegant balance, upheld by a long, savoury persistence that reaffirms the refined finesse and marked elegance of this sincere and luminous interpretation of terroir. Production in a limited run of 2,702 bottles.
