The 2010 Vintage began with some of the coldest temperatures recorded since 1996, marking a clear contrast with the milder climate profile that had characterised the previous decade. Winter frosts and a cool spring highlighted the northern character of the vineyard, while the summer, warm yet without excess and accompanied by limited rainfall, shaped a particularly dry growing season. By mid-August, however, the situation changed suddenly. In just two days, an amount of rain equivalent to what would normally fall over two months descended across the vineyards. The return of heat combined with humidity accelerated grape ripening, making it rapid and generous, but the beginning of harvest was marked by the appearance of botrytis, especially affecting the Pinot Noir parcels. As already happened in 1995, the grapes expressed an intense balance between sweetness and acidity. To bring out the best from such a rich and complex Vintage, however, it was necessary to exclude certain parcels and carry out a rigorous grape selection.

In tasting, Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010 surprises with an expressive strength that does not pass through power, but through balance, precision and depth. On the palate, it stands out for a silky and enveloping texture, capable of combining density and delicacy in a harmonious synthesis.
