Alliance

Lo Champagne Alliance by Colin is crafted from a blend of Chardonnay (2/3) and Meunier (1/3) sourced from estate-owned vineyards located in Vertus, Premier Cru of the Côte des Blancs, and in the Sézanne area, within the Côteaux du Sézannais.

This edition, based on the 2023 harvest with the addition of the réserve perpétuelle started in 2004, undergoes vinification and ageing divided between stainless steel and oak barrels. After tirage, the wine matures on the lees for at least 18 months before disgorgement. Dosage is set at 8 g/l, in a Brut style.

On the palate, Alliance reveals a balanced and harmonious aromatic profile: the nose opens with soft vegetal and floral notes, followed by more gourmand nuances of quince and candied fruit. The palate is soft and velvety, with an enveloping fullness that makes it particularly versatile.

Colin

Winemakers for over seven generations, the Colin family has been producing Champagne since 1829, when Constant Piéton began cultivating the first vineyards. Since then, the management of the Domaine has continued generation after generation up to Geneviève Prieur, maternal grandmother of Richard and Romain Colin, Vigneron and current owners of the company. The Domaine is located in Vertus with the vineyards owned by approx eleven hectares distributed in the Grand Cru and Premier Cru of the Côte des Blancs, where the agricultural fields mingle with vineyards in a mix of different crops and terroirs.

The majority of the vineyard, planted in Chardonnay is located in Vertus, Bergères-les-Vertus and Cuis - Premier Cru; and to Cramant and Oiry - Grand Cru. A small part of the vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir and Meunier and is located in Sézanne. The Colins as farmers and winemakers have a deep knowledge of the land and approach it with care and respect following the principles of sustainable agriculture.

Colin Champagnes are the celebration of the great diversity of terroirs: each cru is vinified separately, so that each cuvée can express its unique and exceptional character. For the Colins, each vintage and each parcel is the exploration of the many facets of a precious land and the discovery of its many riches.
