Champagne Clandestin
Boréal
The Champagne Boréal by Clandestin is a Blanc de Noirs made exclusively from Pinot Noir sourced from selected vineyards in the Côte des Bar region. This cuvée embodies the artisanal and terroir-respectful approach adopted by Domaine Clandestin, founded by Bertrand Gautherot and Benoît Doussot, who are dedicated to enhancing lesser-known parcels with great expressive potential.
Based on the 2022 harvest, Boréal is naturally vinified, with spontaneous fermentations and no added sulfites, to best preserve the fruit’s integrity and authenticity. The wine is aged on its lees for approximately 18 months and released without final dosage – in Brut Nature style – to highlight its purity and freshness.
On tasting, Boréal shows a bright golden yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruits, floral notes, and a subtle minerality. On the palate, it is structured and complex, with vibrant acidity that balances the richness of the fruit, leading to a long and savory finish. Ideal for those seeking to explore authentic and unconventional expressions of the region, affirming Domaine Clandestin’s commitment to producing wines that truly respect and tell the story of their place of origin.
