The Champagne Blanc des Millénaires by Charles Heidsieck stands as one of the most emblematic cuvées dedicated to Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, conceived to express the relationship between time, elegance, and ageing potential. This interpretation is born from a blend sourced from five historic Champagne villages, including the Grands Crus of Avize, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Chouilly alongside the Premier Cru of Vertus, terroirs renowned for the chalky purity and remarkable precision of their Chardonnays. The extended ageing within the Maison’s ancient Gallo-Roman crayères contributes to shaping a style that is deep, luminous, and strongly expressive of its identity.

This 9th edition, Vintage 2014, is crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grapes selected for their finesse and their ability to develop complexity over time. The 2014 vintage, marked by balanced climatic conditions and a slow, progressive ripening cycle, produced wines of remarkable tension, refinement, and aromatic precision. The winemaking approach is focused on preserving purity of expression, while after tirage the wine undergoes long ageing on the lees in the Maison’s historic crayères for around 8 years, enhancing depth, texture, and continuity on the palate while preserving the mineral energy of Chardonnay.

In tasting, Blanc des Millénaires 2014 reveals an elegant and layered profile, with notes of ripe citrus, delicate brioche, almond, dried fruit, and subtle floral nuances supported by a pronounced chalky character. On the palate, the texture is creamy yet vibrant, sustained by precise freshness and a long saline persistence that carries the wine with remarkable harmony.
