The Champagne Mouvance by A. Lamblot is born from the meeting of the three classic Champagne varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier in equal parts – sourced from old vines in the villages of Vrigny and Chenay, in the Montagne de Reims, where sandy soils, clay and Kimmeridgian calcareous marls shape a wine of rare freshness, minerality and complexity. A blend that reflects the artisanal vision and biodynamic philosophy of Alexandre Lamblot, capable of reading the terroir with precision and expressing its essence without compromise.

This edition 21, from the 2021 harvest, is enriched by 50% réserve perpétuelle that brings the memory and depth of previous vintages. Vinification and fermentation take place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barrels of various sizes, where the base wines rest for at least 12 months, benefiting from natural micro-oxygenation. After tirage, the wine spends approximately 24 months on its own yeasts, followed by manual remuage and dégorgement à la volée. The absence of final dosage – Brut Nature – confirms a pure and essential stylistic choice, aimed at restoring the authentic voice of Lamblot's terroir.

On tasting, Mouvance 21 stands out for a vibrant and harmonious profile, with aromas of fresh white fruits, juicy citrus and delicate floral notes, enriched by a crisp mineral thread. On the palate it expresses energy and tension, with a precise yet agile structure, sustained by crystalline sapidity and a long, vibrant persistence, an authentic expression of the Montagne de Reims terroir. Total production of 8,471 bottles, 386 Magnums and 60 Jéroboams.

A. Lamblot

Alexandre Lamblot represents the 13th generation of vignerons in his family and stands out as one of the most compelling voices of the new artisanal Champagne scene. After gaining experience alongside Jérôme Prévost at La Closerie, he took over the family’s 3.8 hectares of vineyards, spread across Janvry, Gueux, Vrigny, and Chenay, in the northern part of the Petite Montagne de Reims. This is an area where Meunier reaches a particularly expressive and distinctive character, shaped by a terroir that brings both tension and precision to the wines.

From the outset, Lamblot set a clear direction, introducing biodynamics, agroforestry, and the consistent use of natural materials throughout the production process. In the vineyards, he planted more than one hundred trees—mainly fruit trees—to break the logic of monoculture and restore ecological balance. The same philosophy continues in the cellar, where experimentation is guided by a desire to faithfully express both terroir and vintage, following his motto: “ne rien s’interdire, ne rien s’imposer”—to forbid nothing, to impose nothing.

His independence came early, driven by strong convictions and a well-defined vision. Lamblot pursued his path with determination, extending this mindset even to packaging choices: local cork closures, recycled paper labels, and recyclable cartons complete a production chain conceived with responsibility in mind. Alexandre belongs to a generation of vignerons reshaping Champagne through concrete actions, agricultural sensitivity, and creative freedom—a name to watch closely.
