The Champagne Exploration by Tom Gauditiabois was created as an identity-driven project dedicated to the most authentic interpretation of the western area of the Vallée de la Marne, particularly around Chézy-sur-Marne, where Tom cultivates approximately 7 hectares of vineyards. A young vigneron trained in Avize, with experience in New Zealand and within the artisanal school of Domaine Jacques Selosse, Tom has developed a vision focused on transparency, micro-vinifications, ephemeral interpretations, and the utmost expression of his pedoclimatic mosaic.

This E|08 edition, based on the 2020 vintage, is crafted from a blend of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, harvested at full maturity. The winemaking follows an artisanal approach that includes spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts in 400-liter oak barrels for about one month, followed by 11 months of maturation on fine lees. After the tirage, the wine continues with over 36 months of ageing on its lees, with no final dosage, presenting itself as a Brut Nature. A cuvée that reflects intensity, territorial authenticity, and a clear stylistic imprint rooted in purity.

On the palate, Exploration E|08 shows a precise and complex profile. The nose reveals crisp red fruits, small citrus notes, hints of dried herbs, and a touch of light spice from the oak. On the palate, it stands out for its taut, vertical structure, supported by a fine mineral tension that lengthens the taste development. The bubbles are delicate and precise, the progression dry and incisive, with a long, sapid, vibrant finish that highlights the purest character of the terroir and the vintage.

Produced in an extremely limited edition of just 2,257 bottles and 171 magnums.
