The Champagne Blanc de Noirs by Rémi Leroy originates in Meurville, in the southern sector of the Côte des Bar, from a rigorous and artisanal interpretation of local Pinot Noir. The terroir, defined by Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils, gives the wine an intense yet measured profile, where ripeness and tension coexist in natural balance. Rémi Leroy’s vision, focused on an honest expression of both vineyard and vintage, results in a Champagne with a deeply territorial character, free from stylistic shortcuts.

This 2019 vintage edition is produced exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes sourced entirely from Meurville. Vinification involves gentle pressing and fermentations carried out in stainless steel and oak barrels, with malolactic fermentation completed. The wine undergoes no fining or filtration, in keeping with the vigneron’s minimalist approach. After tirage, it ages for a minimum of 48 months on the lees and is finished with a dosage of less than 2 g/l – Extra Brut, designed to preserve precision, energy, and the transparent expression of the vintage.

In tasting, this Blanc de Noirs shows a bright golden colour with a fine, persistent mousse. The aromatic profile is layered, revealing notes of ripe pear, mirabelle plum, and hints of brioche and delicate spices, unfolding gradually in the glass. On the palate, it displays a broad yet fluid texture, supported by well-integrated freshness and a taut, saline finish that extends the length and defines a solid, vibrant balance, fully consistent with the identity of Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar.
