The Champagne Blanc de Noirs Réserve by Rémi Leroy originates in Meurville, in the southern part of the Côte des Bar, a reference area for Pinot Noir grown on clay-limestone soils of Kimmeridgian origin. Rémi Leroy’s vision is deeply artisanal and focused on a faithful interpretation of the terroir, with meticulous vineyard work attentive to ripeness and a cellar approach defined by restraint and precision, without stylistic shortcuts.

This edition is produced exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes and is based on the 2022 vintage, complemented by 15% vin de réserve from the 2021 harvest. Vinification includes gentle pressing and fermentations carried out in a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, with malolactic fermentation completed. The wine is neither filtered nor fined, in keeping with the producer’s minimal-intervention philosophy, and after bottling it undergoes lees ageing for a minimum of 24 months. The final dosage is just 1 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, aimed at preserving tension and expressiveness.

On tasting, Blanc de Noirs Réserve shows a clean, essential profile: the nose reveals fresh red fruit, apple and pear, followed by hints of citrus, almond, and delicate notes of bread crust. On the palate the attack is direct, supported by a saline texture and well-integrated freshness; the structure is balanced, with a fine mousse, harmonious progression, and a dry, persistent finish that clearly reflects the territorial identity of the Côte des Bar.
