The Domaine Régis Poissinet, family-run since 1947, is located in the village of Cuchery and covers about 7 hectares in the Vallée de la Marne, with 35 parcels scattered around the villages of Cuchery, Baslieux, Leuvrigny, Troissy and Mareuil-le-Port on clay-limestone and silty-limestone soils. Meunier is the most representative variety of Domaine Régis Poissinet, supplemented by Chardonnay and a small part of Pinot Noir.

With the arrival of the young Régis, now at the helm of the Domaine, the agronomic management of the vineyard has turned decisively towards a vision of great respect for the integrity of the agricultural and natural ecosystem. After the definitive elimination of all invasive chemicals, the vineyard now enjoys great health and vitality, with fauna and flora interacting freely and finding their own natural balance. These are essential conditions for the subtlety and richness of their terroir to be expressed.

In the winery, the same vision is consistently followed, and this means first of all trying to preserve and enhance the complexity of the terroir in a harmonious way. Fermentation takes place naturally with the sole help of indigenous yeasts, and from here on the natural course of vinification is favoured, which can take place either in stainless steel tanks or in fût de chêne, with low doses of sulphur dioxide and minimal dosages to encourage the best possible expression of each individual Cuvée.

The Champagnes by Régis Poissinet are surprising for their energy, their incisive linearity and their fruitiness. They express openly, without fuss, but always with great elegance. Their harmonious balance between freshness and structure leads to an intense emotion.
