Champagne Pinot-Chevauchet
Meunier Vieilles Vignes Magnum
The Champagne Meunier Vieilles Vignes by Pinot-Chevauchet is a Blanc de Noirs obtained from the 2017 harvest, made exclusively from Meunier grapes gathered from three plots of old vines located near the village of Moussy, in the heart of the Côteaux Sud d’Épernay, within the Vallée de la Marne. The first fermentation takes place in fût de chêne, using natural yeasts, while malolactic fermentation develops spontaneously in spring. The wine is aged for at least 3 years on its lees, with a final dosage of 3.5 g/l (Extra Brut) designed to highlight the distinctive features of the terroir of origin. The label pays tribute to three women – Pierrotte, Marie-Mulotte, and Neuville – owners of the plots where the more than 70-year-old vines are grown.
On tasting, Meunier Vieilles Vignes reveals a brilliant golden yellow hue, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic profile is intense and layered, with notes of white-fleshed fruit, white flowers, and delicate mineral nuances. On the palate, it is structured and harmonious, supported by a vibrant freshness and a long, mineral finishthat precisely reflects the identity of the terroir.
