The Champagne Blanc de Blancs by Perrier-Jouët appears in this special edition created by the design studio Formafantasma, conceived as part of the Cohabitare project, dedicated to the biodiversity of the Maison's vineyard. The gift box reinterprets the relationships of interdependence between species through a composition depicting some of the flora and fauna identified in the vineyards of Perrier-Jouët, in perfect harmony with the passion for nature and art that has accompanied the Maison from its very origins. Inside, the Blanc de Blancs holds a creation that revives a tradition born around a century ago, when in the 1920s Perrier-Jouët created its first cuvées dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay, long before this type of Champagne came to be recognised under the name Blanc de Blancs. The Chardonnay comes from around 15 crus selected among the finest terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, to the north of the Montagne de Reims, along with the areas of the Sézannais and the Vitryat, an expression of the finesse and elegance that define the Maison's style.

This Cuvée, enriched by a small proportion of vin de réserve drawn from previous vintages, preserves harmony and stylistic consistency over time. Vinification takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks and continues with malolactic fermentation, followed by 36 months of ageing on the lees, up to a final dosage in the Brut style that, allowing the purity of the fruit to emerge, completes the profile with balance and heightens the freshness and minerality of this Champagne.

On tasting, this Blanc de Blancs stands out for its finesse, vivacity and minerality rather than power, showing a pale golden colour with green highlights enlivened by a fine, luminous perlage. On the nose it opens with floral notes of elderflower, acacia and honeysuckle, interwoven with hints of bright citrus and subtle nuances of buttered toast. On the palate the purity and freshness of the Chardonnay meet a texture endowed with substance and density, accompanied by a mineral persistence that leads to a soft, velvety finish, confirming the floral and refined style that has always characterised the Maison.
