Champagne Mouzon Leroux
L'ineffable 2018
The Champagne L’Ineffable by Mouzon Leroux is a Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir sourced from vineyards in the Grand Cru village of Verzy, in the Montagne de Reims. The grapes are farmed according to biodynamic practices, with a careful and respectful approach that enhances the identity of the terroir and the expressive precision of the fruit.
This edition, Millésime 2018, is vinified and matured in oak barrels with spontaneous fermentations and a handcrafted approach that highlights authenticity and complexity. After tirage, it ages on the lees for 48 months. The final dosage of 1 g/l, in Extra Brut style, fully preserves the purity of the vintage and the expressive strength of Pinot Noir.
On the palate, L’Ineffable 2018 shows a pale and luminous golden yellow color, with a fine and regular perlage. The nose reveals notes of pomegranate and crunchy redcurrant, alongside ripe pear and white flowers, with nuances of sweet spices, aromatic herbs, bread crust and fresh almond. It is broad and enveloping on the palate, supported by vibrant freshness and a saline mineral texture leading to a clean, precise and persistent finish, in perfect balance. Limited production of only 2,563 bottles.
