The Champagne Les Vignes Goisses by Malot Villiere is an exclusive, vertical expression of Pinot Noir, taking shape from the eponymous lieu-dit in the prestigious Grand Cru of Verzy, on the eastern slope of the Montagne de Reims. From vines in organic conversion tended with dedication by Cindy Malot and Florian Villiere, this Blanc de Noirs holds all the power and elegance of the variety, the fruit of a concrete commitment to environmentally respectful farming practices capable of enhancing the identity of the terroir.
This edition, Vintage 2020, is born from meticulous work in the cellar, with a vinification and maturation in ovoid tanks of 950 litres in natural concrete, able to ensure a gentle, constant micro-oxygenation that guides the wine towards a progressive complexity and an ever more defined finesse. The final dosage of 2 g/l, in Extra Brut style, completes the picture with measure and elegance, leaving fully intact the intensity, tension and freshness that define its character.
On the palate, Les Vignes Goisses opens on an elegant, multifaceted bouquet, marked by intense spicy notes, delicate hints of undergrowth and a ripe, inviting fruit recalling mirabelle plum and pear. It stands out for its richness and depth, with a silky, enveloping texture that supports a full, ample and harmonious body, where structure and freshness intertwine and lead towards a long, lively finish of refined and vibrant persistence.
