Champagne Laurent-Perrier
Blanc de Blancs
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs by Laurent-Perrier is born from the perfect mastery of Chardonnay vinification, a rare and demanding grape variety, and represents the first Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature signed by the Maison. From only those years in which the ripening of the grapes has ensured a natural richness in sugar, it is an exceptional wine that expresses all the purity and elegance of its single variety. It embodies a philosophy of absolute transparency, in which forgoing dosage becomes the most sincere way to let the terroir and the finesse of Chardonnay speak.
A Blanc de Blancs that comes from a rigorous selection of the finest crus of the Côte des Blancs, from Avize, Cramant, Oiry and Chouilly, and of the Montagne de Reims, including Tours-sur-Marne, Villers-Marmery and Rilly-La-Montagne, is born from grapes chosen for their high potential and low acidity, characteristics indispensable for reaching perfect balance. Vinification and maturation take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and, after tirage, an ageing of 8 years on the lees follows, lending complexity and finesse, while the dégorgement takes place with no final dosage, in Brut Nature style.
On the palate, it appears with a white, luminous robe accompanied by a fine, persistent effervescence that heralds a crystalline profile. On the nose it reveals itself as mineral, enriched by elegant citrus notes that underline its freshness. On the palate the attack is lively and the balance is built on a taut, well-defined structure, while the persistence unfolds long and clear, dominated by a pleasant note of lemongrass that signs the synthesis between technical rigour and expressive refinement of the Maiosn style.
