The Champagne Latitude by Larmandier-Bernier originates in the southern part of Vertus, a Premier Cru village in the Côte des Blancs, where Chardonnay achieves a broader and more солне expression. The name “Latitude” refers to the imaginary line of the 49th parallel, emphasizing the geographical and identity-driven bond with this specific sector of the village. This cuvée embodies a clear vision: to express the ripeness of the fruit while preserving the mineral tension typical of chalky soils, through vineyard work conducted under organic farming principles and a transparent interpretation of the terroir.

A Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced predominantly from south-facing vineyards, enhanced by a significant proportion of réserve perpétuelle that provides greater depth and stylistic consistency over time. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in large oak casks and vats, followed by aging on the lees for at least 24 months. The low dosage, in Extra Brut style, highlights precision and clarity of expression, while the partial use of wood broadens the structure without overshadowing the wine’s mineral backbone.

On the palate, Latitude reveals a fine and persistent mousse. The nose opens with notes of ripe citrus, yellow apple, white flowers, and delicate hints of almond and brioche, supported by a distinct chalky nuance. The entry is enveloping yet driven by vibrant freshness; the texture is ample, with a saline progression leading to a long, balanced finish marked by refined mineral tension.
