Champagne Jean Servagnat
Mont Miré 2016
The Champagne Mont Miré represents the first Millésime by Jean Servagnat, sourced from the eponymous lieu-dit Mont Miré in Coulommes-la-Montagne, within the Montagne de Reims. A cuvée conceived as a rigorous interpretation of a single vineyard, where terroir and interpretative precision intertwine in a coherent, measured vision, free of excess.
This cuvée, Millésime 2016, is born from a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 25% Meunier, and 25% Pinot Noir. Spontaneous fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, followed by the completion of malolactic fermentation. After bottling, the wine matures for 8 years on the lees, a prolonged ageing that consolidates its structure and definition. A Brut Nature dosage at 0 g/l completes an essential approach aimed at maximum transparency of expression.
On tasting, Mont Miré shows a taut and deep profile, with freshness perfectly integrated into the wine’s maturity. On the palate, the texture is precise and linear, supported by a balanced structure and a steady progression leading to a persistent, dry, and coherent finish. The whole delivers a clear reading of the site of origin, shaped by harmony, length, and restraint.
