The Champagne Les Clos by Durdon Bouval is a Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir grapes, sourced from selected parcels around Passy-sur-Marne in the Vallée de la Marne. The vineyards, planted in 1988, are now 36 years old and rooted in clay-loam-limestone soils with a southeast exposure, an ideal condition for balanced ripening and an authentic expression of the variety.

This edition is based on the 2022 harvest, a vintage that produced healthy, ripe grapes with remarkable aromatic precision. Vinification involves gentle pressing followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks, a choice that preserves freshness and the fruit-driven character of the wine. No filtration, cold stabilization, or malolactic fermentation is carried out, maintaining the purity and transparency of the terroir. After tirage, the wine rests on the lees for at least 18 months, developing complexity and elegance. The dosage is 0 g/l – Brut Nature – highlighting the purity and authenticity of the Pinot Noir.

On the palate, Les Clos shows a bright golden color with a fine, continuous perlage. The nose opens with notes of ripe yellow fruit, citrus nuances, and hints of fresh hazelnut and bread crust. The taste is straight and vibrant, supported by precise mineral tension and a saline drive that amplifies depth. The structure is well balanced, with a juicy, clean mid-palate and a persistent, finely etched finish — the signature of the pure soul of Pinot Noir in its Brut Nature form. Produced in a limited edition of only 3,492 bottles.
