The Champagne Montagne BY by Domaine Les Monts Fournois originates in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy, in the Montagne de Reims, and interprets this terroir with balance and precision through an equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The project led by Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche, together with Juliette Alips, is based on a rigorous study of Premier Cru and Grand Cru villages, with the aim of crafting cuvées that authentically express identity, vintage, and origin.
This edition, Vintage 2013, develops through vinification and fermentation focused on aromatic definition and expressive clarity, followed by extended lees ageing for at least 10 years, building depth and complexity while maintaining balance and tension, while the final dosage, in Extra Brut style, supports the wine with restraint, enhancing its purity and elegance.
On the palate, Montagne BY Vintage 2013 stands out for its fine and layered profile, with notes of ripe citrus, white-fleshed fruit, and subtle toasted and mineral nuances. The structure is broad and dynamic, supported by well-integrated freshness that leads to a long, balanced, and persistent finish, expressing a Champagne of great finesse and precision.
