Champagne Domaine de Bichery
La Source Magnum
The Champagne La Source by Domaine de Bichery is produced mainly from three distinctive parcels – Val Ligé, La Fontaine du Noyers and L’Envers Vigne – located in the Côte des Bar, characterized by clay-limestone soils that give the wines depth and mineral tension. The vines, with an average age of around 35 years, give rise to a cuvée that precisely reflects the identity of the Bichery terroir, combining energy, finesse and a marked sense of place.
This edition, vintage 2022, is based on a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 10% Meunier. Vinification and fermentation follow a natural approach, with partial maturation in fût de chêne to enhance complexity and structure. After tirage, the wine undergoes at least 24 months of aging on the lees. The final dosage of 0 g/l, in Brut Nature style, highlights the purity of the fruit and the direct expression of the terroir.
On tasting, La Source reveals a complex and luminous aromatic profile, with notes of red apple, yellow plum and delicate spices such as clove, accompanied by a subtle hint of wet stone that recalls the wine’s mineral character. On the palate the texture is precise and refined, with a dry, polished structure supported by freshness and tension. The finish is saline, dynamic and persistent, combining elegance and depth in a harmonious balance.
A limited production of 11,703 bottles and 300 magnums underscores the rare and artisanal character of this cuvée.
