Amour de Deutz Rosé Millésime 2013
The Champagne Amour de Deutz Rosé is born from a rigorous selection of some of the most prestigious vineyards in Champagne, renowned for the excellence of Pinot Noir from the Grand Crus of Aÿ, Verzenay, Ambonnay, and Bouzy, and for the finesse of Chardonnay sourced from Avize, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly, and Villers-Marmery. This rosé cuvée embodies a refined and measured interpretation of terroir, faithful to the classic and elegant style of the Maison, and stands at the pinnacle of its prestige production.
This Millésime 2013 edition is the result of an assemblage of 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay, enhanced by 6% vin rouge obtained from parcels of old-vine Pinot Noir such as “La Pelle” in the Grand Cru of Aÿ and “Charmont” in the Premier Cru of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The 2013 vintage, marked by a late and complex growing cycle, found balance thanks to a dry, warm summer and September rainfall, which supported gradual ripening and a harvest of high quality, particularly in the Grands Crus.
In tasting, Amour de Deutz Rosé Millésime 2013 displays an elegant pale pink hue with coppery highlights. The aromatic profile is fine and layered, revealing notes of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, followed by blackberry, hints of vanilla, and a delicate nuance of rose petals. On the palate, the wine is broad and harmonious, with a finely sculpted structure, well-integrated freshness, and aromatic depth leading to a long, precise, and refined finish, confirming the high expressive potential of this cuvée, perfectly positioned within the Maison’s “Trilogie de Prestige.”
