The Champagne Silver by André Clouet captures with energy and precision the style of the historic estate in Bouzy, one of the most renowned Grand Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims. This label comes from vineyards rooted in chalk-rich soils and shows a clear prevalence of Pinot Noir grapes, the emblematic variety of the area, capable of expressing depth and mineral tension. The Clouet family philosophy combines tradition with immediate expressiveness, giving life to a Champagne with a direct, essential, and strongly distinctive profile.

This edition highlights a vinification and fermentation process designed to preserve aromatic clarity and precision on the palate. Part of the blend is enhanced through the use of vin de réserve, an element that broadens complexity and stylistic consistency. After tirage, the wine matures on the lees for more than 36 months, a key stage in shaping balance and depth. Without final dosage, in Brut Nature style, delivers a pure and dynamic interpretation of Pinot Noir from Bouzy.

In tasting, Silver reveals a fresh and incisive profile with notes of ripe citrus, crisp apple, small red berries, and delicate chalky nuances. On the palate, it shows a vibrant and streamlined texture supported by a fine mousse and a pronounced mineral imprint that leads into a long, dry finish. The balance between structure, tension, and precision makes this Champagne particularly expressive and full of character.

Champagne André Clouet is produced in Bouzy, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, where André Clouet and his son Jean-François embody both family continuity and a clear production vision. The Domaine covers around 10 hectares, mainly planted with Pinot Noir on chalky soils, a key factor in defining structure and precision. The philosophy is straightforward: total attention to the soil, the terroir and vineyard work, with meticulous management including green pruning, conservative practices and limited mineral treatments to preserve balance and quality.

In the cellar, tradition and innovation coexist, with vinification starting from a historic press still in use and continuing in custom-made truncated cone-shaped stainless steel tanks. Fermentations occur exclusively with indigenous yeasts, without forcing, following long timelines and with rigorous attention to cleanliness. Part of the wines is handled in used barriques from Château Doisy-Daëne, a choice that ensures consistency and precision without interfering with the expression of Pinot Noir.

The process is completed with a minimum ageing of three years in chalk cellars, an ideal environment for stability and development. The bottles then undergo riddling on pupitres and, for certain cuvées, manual disgorgement, operations that require precision and consistency. The blends are defined through repeated tastings and a forward-looking vision, with the aim of crafting Champagnes that are coherent, structured and faithful to the distinctive character of Bouzy.
