Un Jour de 1911
The Champagne Un Jour de 1911 by André Clouet is a Blanc de Noirs made exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir, primarily sourced from the Grand Cru vineyards of Bouzy and Ambonnay. This rare Cuvée is produced in a limited edition, with only 1,911 bottles per year. Its blend consists of three vintages, enriched by a portion of réserve perpétuelle, selected solely from exceptional harvests. Maturation takes place in stainless steel, with a portion aged in barrels previously used for Sauternes. The wine rests on the lees for a minimum of 12 years, while the final dosage is below 5 g/l.
From the very first glance, Un Jour de 1911 stands out for its brilliant golden color, which hints at a refined and complex character. On the nose, it opens with a rich and layered bouquet, where notes of apple, pear, custard, and hazelnuts emerge. On the palate, the elegance and depth of this Champagne are expressed through a perfect harmonybetween acidity, the finesse of the perlage, and a long, persistent finish. This extraordinary Blanc de Noirs combines maturity, complexity, and finesse, enhancing both the intensity and elegance of its aromas and flavors.
